LOUDOUN COUNTY, VA – The National Conference Center, a GSA approved property, will serve
breakfast, lunch, or dinner to Loudoun furloughed federal workers and their families beginning
Tuesday, January 15th until the federal government fully reopens. Dining tickets will be issued to
Loudoun County residents who show their Federal ID at the front desk of The National Conference
Center beginning at 7am, Monday through Friday. All meals will be served at The National
Conference Center’s Dining Room, which seats up 880 guests.

The National Conference Center is working in conjunction with Chair Phyllis Randall and the Loudoun
County Board of Supervisors to provide meals to some of the 15,000 – 20,000 federal workers who
live in Loudoun and are affected by the partial government shutdown. The shutdown is in its fourth
week, now the longest-running in U.S. history.

“We are happy to join other relief efforts across the region to assist federal workers, who have now
missed their first paycheck,” said Vice President & General Manager Geoff Lawson. “The National
Conference Center is honored to count federal agencies and organizations among our top clients for
the past forty years, and we feel moved to help our community during this time.”
